3-F Scholarship

Application Process

The 3-F Scholarship, presented by There Once Was a Girl, accepts applications annually from May 1 to June 30. To be considered, all required materials must be submitted within this timeframe. Please note that incomplete applications will not be reviewed.


Eligibility Requirements

  • Gender: Female
  • Academic Level: Open to current high school seniors planning to enroll in college for the upcoming academic year or females already enrolled in an undergraduate program.
  • GPA: Minimum GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale.
  • College Enrollment: Must be enrolled or plan to enroll full-time in an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university. 


Essay Submission

Our organization’s tagline, “Uniquely You. BeYOUtifully True,” embodies the belief that every individual is one of a kind, and there is beauty in embracing your authentic self. This tagline reflects the freedom and confidence that come from living unapologetically as your genuine self. As part of your application, please submit a 500–750-word essay exploring how this tagline relates to you. Your essay must be original, written in your own words, and focused on clear, reflective, and well-organized writing. Use the instructions below to guide your response.

  1. Personal Reflection: Share your journey of self-discovery and what makes you unique.
  2. Authenticity: Describe what it means to you to embrace your authentic self and why it’s important.
  3. Overcoming Challenges: Discuss any challenges you’ve faced in staying true to yourself and how you overcame them.
  4. Empowerment: Reflect on how embracing your uniqueness has empowered you and shaped your goals for the future.
  5. Inspiration: Explain how you embody the essence of “Uniquely You. BeYOUtifully True” in your daily life.
