Since its inception in 2020 as a grassroots initiative, There Once Was a Girl has dedicated itself to empowering females and fostering support within the community. Through its annual Season of Sisterhood campaign, the organization raised over $5,000 to assist single mothers during the holiday season. In early 2024, There Once Was a Girl achieved 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, officially marking a new chapter in its journey. The organization celebrated this milestone on September 8, 2024, with a fundraiser aimed at generating support for upcoming programs set to launch in 2025. These programs will focus on equipping females of all ages with the tools and opportunities to thrive from the inside out.  This has been an incredible journey, and we are thrilled to see how much we’ve grown over the past four years. What started as a small effort to give back has evolved into something so much greater. We’re excited to expand our efforts and deepen our impact as a nonprofit.
